Backtest and What-If

Replay your own trades with other rules, test a strategy on historical data and save sessions with notes.

Before changing your rules, see what would have happened. Backtest has three ways to test an idea, plus saved sessions.

#Your history (what-if)

Go to Backtest → Your history. Seferu replays the trades you logged with new rules and compares the result with what actually happened. It only uses your trades: it's a simulation, not a forecast.

  1. Pick the period: 30 days, 90 days, Year to date or All
  2. Set the rules, or start from Quick ideas:
    • Day rules: max trades per day, daily stop, daily target, stop after N losses in a row
    • Trade rules: max loss in R, position size, trade from / trade until a time, only trades within the plan, days not to trade, setups to remove
  3. Click Simulate

You see What happened next to With the new rules: net result, trades, win rate, max drawdown and expectancy per trade, the difference and both equity curves. Trades you wouldn't have taken lists each skipped trade and why, like "Daily stop hit" or "Outside trading hours".

#Automatic strategy

Go to Backtest → Strategy to test a strategy on historical market data:

  • Start from a template: Opening range breakout, Moving average cross, RSI or Channel breakout
  • Or Describe the strategy in words, like "buy the breakout of the first 15 minutes' high, stop at the low, 2R target, BTC on 5 minutes", and click Build strategy. Seferu shows what it assumed

Set the symbol, timeframe, period, side, stop (structure, points, % of price or ATR), target, starting balance and position size, and run it. Results are hypothetical, with simplified executions.

#Saved sessions

Use Save as session to keep a test with its name and notes. Open them later in Backtest → Sessions.

#Market data

Historical market data is available today for crypto (BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT, SOLUSDT and others). B3, US futures and stocks, and forex are coming soon. The what-if on your history works with any market, because it uses your own trades.

#By chat

Ask Seferu Intelligence: "what if I had stopped after two losses?" or "backtest an opening range breakout on BTC, 5 minutes, last 90 days".

Backtests are hypothetical and not a recommendation. Past results don't guarantee future results.

Not another trading tool. The foundation for everything around your trading.
